Custom design for events & weddings: Combining the elements
In October 2002, my dear friends asked me to design their wedding stationery. I had always loved designing cards, photographing flowers and planning events, so when the opportunity came to combine all of these elements, I couldn't resist. The theme was an orange lily and I searched the San Francisco Bay Area looking for the perfect lily to photograph. My search ended gleefully at a wonderful little flower shop in Berkeley, and a new career chapter began. I went on to open a design studio specializing in custom wedding and event stationery, and loved every minute of it. I was hooked from that very first orange lily.
Greeting cards: The beauty of words
As the demand for my customized event stationery increased beyond what I could produce from my home printer, I developed a line of pre-printed designs that could be used for a variety of different products, including posters and signage. I had always loved quotes, so featuring inspiring words atop my photographs seemed the perfect combo for creating a beautiful line of versatile designs.
